“The Olivia Act, named after one of the children killed in the tragedy that took place in Newton, Connecticut, was started by a photographer who wishes to remain anonymous. Olivia’s family had family pictures taken a short time before she was killed. Those pictures are precious and now priceless to them. Upon hearing about this, this photographer was moved to give away a 30 minute family photo session and has challenged other photographers to do the same. We go about our daily lives and sometimes we don’t take the time or have the resources to have family photos taken.”
We are honored to announce we will be participating in The Olivia Act. Starting today, we will take nominations from our friends of families who would benefit from a completely free portrait session in the Roaring Fork Valley (including a disc of digital negatives and 3-8×10 prints) to capture a story of their life to hold onto and cherish forever. Please email us at [email protected] with your nomination’s name, their contact information and a brief story as to why you want to nominate that person/family. On January 14th we will choose the recipient of this gift.
